I am a research scientist at the Allen Institute for AI on the Asta team. Before AI2, I was a tech lead at B12. I finished my Ph.D. in Computer Science at Harvard University. I was advised by Krzysztof Gajos from the Intelligent Interactive Systems Group. Most of my publications are at HCI venues (e.g., CHI, UIST); some work also appears at NLP venues (e.g., ACL).
I build and study systems that support human creativity and knowledge-based decision-making. Lately I've been especially interested in proactive, context-aware agents for research ideation, knowledge synthesis, and related tasks. I'm also broadly interested in human-AI collaboration.
